The  Alabama Fire Women's Tackle Football team is a symbol of determination, skill, and empowerment. Founded in 2016 by Coach Cedric Lane, our journey began as a women's flag football team comprising around 20 passionate players. Fueled by a collective desire to push boundaries and embrace challenges, our team's evolution led us to an even greater aspiration: to become preeminent opponents in the world of women’s tackle football.

 

In a bold stride forward, we joined the Women's Football Alliance (WFA), marking the inception of our tackle football endeavors. For two years, we honed our skills and displayed our unwavering dedication on the field. Our first year as a professional women’s tackle team, we clinched the title of 2016 Division Co-champions. Eager to reach new heights, we transitioned to the Women's National Football Conference (WNFC), where we continued to blaze trails and leave our mark for three impactful years.

 

Our journey, defined by resilience and unyielding commitment, brought us back to our roots in the WFA in 2023. Despite maintaining a compact roster, usually consisting of around 22 active players, our determination knows no bounds. Year after year, our team has defied expectations, securing a place in the playoffs every season since our tackle team's inception. This underscores our prowess, teamwork, and relentless spirit, which sets a precedent for excellence that continues to drive us to strive for the pinnacle of our sport…league champions.

 

As we take to the field, we blaze a trail and carry the legacy of those who came before us and the aspirations of those who will follow. Our journey embodies the strength of unity, the thrill of competition, and the empowerment that comes from shattering barriers.
